for the Inaugural Hoolihan Polo Cup!

Put on your cowboy hat and favorite pair of boots and join us for a polo party West Texas style. Come watch teams from around the state compete in a tournament-style polo match with commentating from renowned Polo announcer, Cuko Escapite. Directly after the polo match, stay for the official after-party and dance with music by the Rocky King Band, along with a silent and live auction. Private VIP tables will be available for purchase, as well as designated tailgate spots.

Not only will the Hoolihan Polo Cup be a chance to strengthen your company’s brand awareness in the community in front of a projected crowd of 750-1000 people, it is also an opportunity to directly contribute to an incredible charity. The West Texas Boys Ranch will receive 100% of proceeds from the Hoolihan Polo Cup.

West Texas Boys Ranch is a non-profit organization offering guidance, structure, and opportunities for young men to realize their greatest potential through a family-based program in a Christian environment. Since its inception more than 75 years ago, West Texas Boys Ranch has served thousands of boys from Texas and beyond. At West Texas Boys Ranch, a boy is measured by his potential rather than his past. It’s here in a family setting and ranch environment where boys rediscover their self-respect and become useful, proud, and productive citizens. West Texas Boys Ranch is a place where boys learn the value of work, grow spiritually, and achieve academic success through the example of a caring staff.

West Texas Boys Ranch is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to provide residential basic childcare for up to 39 boys, accepting boys ages 11-17 from Texas and the 4 bordering states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. The Ranch is licensed to provide program services for childcare and transitional living. West Texas Boys Ranch is a public charity, as well as a qualified nonprofit IRC Section 501 (c) (3).

Hoolihan Acres has a rich polo history. Players such as Texan actor Tommy Lee Jones, legendary American 10-goaler Tommy Wayman, and international polo players from all over the world have shared the Hoolihan field. After a 25-year hiatus, polo is coming back to Hoolihan Acres. The first polo match ever played on American soil took place in Southwest Texas, when British Captain William Turquand upon his retirement from military duties in India purchased a large spread and formed a polo team with a group of expatriates. At one point, Tom Green County and surrounding West Texas areas consisted of the largest concentration of polo pony prospects in the United States with dozens of polo fields on local ranches that have long since vanished. The Hoolihan Polo Cup is being held to directly benefit the West Texas Boys Ranch and hopefully contribute to the preservation of the sport's deep West Texas herltage.

Cooler Bands: No alcohol will be provided at the Hoolihan Cup. The event is strictly B.Y.0.B; however, a band must be purchased for every cooler brought onto the property. All we ask is that you please refrain from bringing glass beer bottles. Cooler bands are included with every V.I.P package option or will be available for purchase at the gate. Cooler bands are priced at $25 each.

V.L.LP TABLE: Limited V.I.P tables on the west side of the field will be available for purchase. Due to popular demand, pre-sale tables are selling out quickly and are on a first-come, first-served basis. V.I.P. tables include admission for 8 to the polo match and dance with reserved seating under a tent directly on the west sideline. Your company logo, family, or ranch name will be mounted on the tent over your designated area, as well as mentioned in our “Thank you to our Table Sponsor’s” section of the official 2023 Hoolihan Polo Cup “coffee table book” style publication. V.I.P TAILGATE SPOT: A limited number of reserved field-side tailgate spots will be available for purchase. These will be first-come, first-served. Bring your own snacks and refreshments and watch the game from the bed of your pick-up or your own tent and chairs. This will consist of a reserved 12x10 spot on the East side of the polo field, admission for 6 to the polo match and dance, and 2 cooler bands. V.I.P Tailgates spot cost: $400

Sponsorship Opportunities:

TEAM SPONSORSHIP: Four companies will have the opportunity to sponsor a polo team competing in the tournament. As an official team sponsor, the team will wear custom designed jerseys with your corporate logo, as well as embroidered saddle pads on their horses. The team sponsorship also comes with naming rights that will be mentioned by the announcer dozens of times during the tournament. A team sponsorship will also include a VIP table, your business logo on our official T-shirt and website, a full page advertisement in our “coffee table book” style magazine that will be given out at the event as well as strategically placed in business’s all around Tom Green County, your own thank you to our sponsors sign at the Hoolihan Acres entry, 3 cooler bands, food, admission for 8 to the polo match and dance, the option for your business to set up and run your own booth at the event in our vendor section, a framed and signed team jersey, a meet & greet with your team, and a private polo lesson and photo op.

TEAM SPONSORSHIP COST: $10,000

FIELD SPONSORSHIP: One company will have the opportunity to sponsor the Hoolihan Cup game field. Your company will have naming rights for the field where the 2023 Hoolihan cup is being played, along with your business logo painted repeatedly along the “boards” which act as a boundary to keep the polo ball on the field and in play, as well as your logo on the goal posts at each end of the field. The Field sponsorship will also consist of a VIP table, your business logo on our official T- shirt and website, a full page advertisement in our “coffee table book” style magazine that will be given out at the event as well as strategically placed in business’s all around Tom Green County, your own thank you to our sponsors sign at the Hoalihan Acres entry, 3 cooler bands, food, admission for 8 to the polo match and dance, the option for your business to set up and run your own booth at the event in our vendor section, a framed and signed aerial photo of the field during match play, a meet & greet with the teams, and a private polo lesson and photo op.

FIELD SPONSORSHIP COST: $12,500

SCOREBOARD SPONSORSHIP: One company will have the opportunity to sponsor the Hoolihan Cup scoreboard. This opportunity will consist of naming rights and corporate logo on top of the scoreboard. The scoreboard sponsorship will also consist of a VIP table, your business logo on our official T- shirt and website, a full page advertisement in our “coffee table book” style magazine that will be given out at the event as well as strategically placed in business’s all around Tom Green County, your own thank you to our sponsors sign at the Hoolihan Acres entry, 3 cooler bands, food, admission for 8 to the polo match and dance, the option for your business to set up and run your own booth at the event in our vendor section, a framed and signed photo of corporation representatives and the players in front of the scoreboard, a meet & greet with the teams, and a private polo lesson.

SCOREBOARD SPONSORSHIP COST: $5000

BEST PLAYING PONY SPONSORSHIP: One company will have the opportunity to sponsor the best playing pony award of the Hoolihan Cup. It is said by the greatest polo players that the horse is 75% of a player’s handicap. The Best Playing Pony award is presented to the polo pony that best exemplifies the look and athleticism necessary to be competitive on the polo field. The winner of this award during the Hoolihan Cup will be presented with a beautiful custom horse blanket covered in your corporate signage, and the award sponsor will be mentioned multiple times by the announcer during the tournament. The BPP sponsorship will also consist of a VIP table, your business logo on our official T- shirt and website, a full page advertisement in our “coffee table book” style magazine that will be given out at the event as well as strategically placed in business’s all around Tom Green County, your own thank you to our sponsors sign at the Hoolihan Acres entry, 3 cooler bands, food, admission for 8 to the polo match and dance, the option for your business to set up and run your own booth at the event in our vendor section, a framed photo of photo of corporation representatives with the best playing pony, a meet & greet with the teams, and a private polo lesson.

BEST PLAYING PONY SPONSORSHIP COST: $3000

MOST VALUABLE PLAYER SPONSORSHIP: One company will have the opportunity to sponsor the most valuable player award of the Hoolihan Cup. The MVP is often the player who leads his team to victory through standing out on offense and defense. The winner of this award during the Hoolihan Cup will be presented with a custom pair of trophy spurs engraved with your corporate signage, and the award sponsor will be mentioned multiple times by the announcer during the tournament. AWARD PODIUM BACKDROP SPONSOR: We have reserved multiple spots under our major sponsors on the podium backdrop where our award ceremonies will take place. This is a great option for businesses that want to contribute to the cause but are not going to be around to reap the benefits of a VIP table or bigger sponsorship opportunity. Award podium backdrop sponsorship consists of admission for 4 to the polo match and dance, a half page advertisement in our “coffee table book” style magazine that will be given out at the event as well as strategy placed in business’s all-around Tom Green County, 2 cooler bands, and your business logo aon our official T-shirt and website.
